The Cameroonian champions entered Elite 16 Division West of the Basketball Africa League. Forces Armees Police outscored AS Police 74:66.
AS Police started the game with a 15-14 lead, while FAP replied with a 24-21 run to take a 2-point advantage at the halftime. Moreover the Cameroon champions produced a 19-11 surge in the third quarter to secure a win.
Brice Eyaga (205-C-98) top-scored for the winners with 22 points, whilst Deon Lyle (196-SG-96, college: UTSA) netted 10. Pierre Essome (195-C-89) produced 9 and Joel Almeida (195-F-85, college: Brockport St.) delivered 8. Ousmane Traore (192-F-98) ended up with 14 points in a loss, whilst Stephane Konate (191-SG-80) and Benke Diarouma (198-F-95) nailed 13 each.
